The Rules and Regulations
1. GENERAL PROVISIONS

1.1. The Petrovskiy Marathon is a historical cultural and sports event which is a form of celebration of the birthday of Peter I (born in Moscow on June 9, 1672), and is held to celebrate this date and in order to promote a healthy lifestyle and an active life position.
1.2. The main objectives of the marathon are:
* Promote the values of a healthy lifestyle, sports and outdoor activities;
* Instill physical culture and an active lifestyle in the low-sports population;
* Involve the younger generation in sports and regular physical activities;
* Preserve the marathon traditions and principles;
1.3. The event is held on the basis of the current legislation and other regulatory acts, including the Decree of the Government of St. Petersburg of March 13, 2020 No. 121 "On measures to counteract the spread of a new coronavirus infection (COVID-19) in St. Petersburg" (as amended)

2. RIGHTS AND OBLIGATIONS OF THE ORGANIZERS

2.1. The Petrovsky Marathon is held by the public organization "Petrovskiy Canoe Marathon". The rights to conduct competitions, including the competition protocols, photos, and video materials created during the event belong to the public organization "Petrovskiy Canoe Marathon". The general management, organization and conduct of the Event is carried out by the Organizing Committee.
2.2. Organizers:

2.3. Photo / video shooting of the competitions is carried out by the photographers of the Organizers. Photos of the competitions are posted on the official website and/or on the social networks of the Organizers.

3. PLACE AND DATES OF THE EVENT

3.1. The Petrovskiy Marathon 2021 starts on June 5, 2021.
Start at 10.00 from the fortress Oreshek (o.Orekhovy, Shlisselburg, Petrokrepost) for distance 68 km,
Registration at 10.00 on the beach of the Peter and Paul Fortress in the format of rowing-indoor,

Start at 12.00 from the city pier on the Sverdlovskaya embankment, 64 (opposite the Okhtinskaya hotel) for a distance of 6 km https://yandex.ru/maps/-/CCUQRItwPC
3.2. Participants paddle along the Neva River to the Peter and Paul Fortress, the length of the route is 68, 40 and 6 kilometers. The technical description of the route and recommendations for passing the most difficult sections are described in the Course Guide and the Safety Rules, which participants can download on the marathon website http://petrovskiymarathon.ru/en
3.3. Finish on the Big Beach of the Peter and Paul Fortress, where the participants are met and awarded by the Emperor Peter Alekseevich. The control time of passing the distance is 12 hours, the finish is up to 22 hours on June 5, 2021
3.4. Intermediate thematic control points (Check Points) and Food Points are placed:
- at the Hill of Glory, on the right bank, 30 kilometers from the start,
- at the city pier of Sverdlovskaya embankment, Sverdlovskaya embankment, 64, 60 km from the start.
Participants are not required to visit Check Points.

4. MARATHON PROGRAM

4.1. Marathon distances:
68 km, 40 km and 6 km, Indoor Rowing - 68 km, 42195 m, 20 km, 10 km, 8 km (see Indoor Rowing Race Rules)
4.2. Marathon classes:
Any boat powered solely by the muscular strength of the crew: K-1 kayak M, W, rigid/frame/inflatable K-2, K-3 kayak mix, M, W, rigid/frame/inflatable C-1, C-2, C-3 canoe Rowing (1, 2, 4, 8) SUP-Men SUP-Women DS-2 - SUP-double M, W, mix DS-4 - SUP-4 mix Dragon boat D-10 mix Yals Packraft Inflatable boats Rafting Free class Free class, yals, inflatable boats - check with the organizers your class for registration for the number of people
Classes of yals, inflatable boats, rafts, packrafts, folk rowing can participate only at a distance of 6 km. Motor vessels may participate in the Petrovskiy Marathon as part of the safety support crew, in accordance with paragraph 7 of this Rules and Regulation.
4.3. Age groups and classes:
- Open class - from 16 to 49 years old
- Masters 1 - from 50 to 60 years old (you can also register in the open class)
- Masters 2 - from 60 years old and older (you can also register in the open class)

5. REQUIREMENTS AND CONDITIONS OF ADMISSION FOR PARTICIPANTS AND THE RACE RULES

5.1. Everyone over the age of 16 is allowed to participate in the marathon.
5.2. The main principle of the marathon is compliance with the rules of epidemiological safety.
5.3. Rules for the prevention of new coronavirus infection COVID-19:
- wash and disinfect your hands frequently,
- keep a social distance
- protect your respiratory system with a medical mask,
- if you feel unwell, stay at home and see a doctor.
5.4. Participants are allowed for the marathon only in the presence of an identity document, as well as those who have passed pre-registration https://reg.o-time.ru/
5.5. Upon registration each participant signs an agreement of participation in the marathon
5.6. Persons who are in an alcoholic or narcotic state, as well as persons who violate the provisions of this Regulation or the requirements of the Organizer, are not allowed to participate;
5.7. Participants must be physically and technically prepared for the marathon: all participants are personally responsible for their health.
5.8. Participants of the Marathon must independently assess the state of health on the eve or at the time of the Event. If you feel unwell, immediately inform the Organizers of the Event;
5.9. In case of bad health on the eve of the Event, the Participant must refuse to participate;
5.10. Participants take the necessary measures to pass the distance without accidents. All participants must have life jackets and a working mobile phone for each crew with a number known to the organizers.
5.11. Health insurance of the marathon participants is carried out independently.
5.12. Participants are advised to have water and some food supplies.
5.13 It is the responsibility of each participant of the marathon to provide assistance to a boat that has capsized or got into trouble and needs help. The organizers take into account the time spent by the participant on the rescue work.
5.14. Participants pay entry fees after online registration. In case if it's impossible for the participant to arrive at the marathon start, the entry fees cannot be returned. Replacement of the crew of the declared boats is allowed.
5.15. At the pre-start registration participants are given BIB-numbers that must be worn on top of their life jackets.
5.16. Participants must comply with the rules for the movement of small vessels on navigable rivers. The boats must go outside the ship's passage (fairway), which is fenced on the right with red buoys, on the left with white buoys. Cross the fairway in places where it is clearly visible in both directions, without interfering with the movement of large vessels. Additional information about the behavior on the highway and the passage of difficult sections is published in the Course guide and safety rules which are posted on the website.
5.17. In case of complaints from boatmasters about interference from a boat participating in the marathon, this boat is removed from the distance and disqualified. Marathon participants must comply with the requirements of the marathon organizers and safety boats. The organizers have the right to remove participants from the marathon in case of violation of these rules.
5.18. On multi-seat boats part of the team may leave the race, the team may finish the marathon in an incomplete composition. Replacement of retired participants is not allowed.
5.19. The use of outside assistance is not allowed. Mutual assistance of marathon participants, their movement from boat to boat and from place to place inside the boat is allowed.
5.20. The participant who has made the decision to leave the race ahead of schedule must inform the Organizers of the marathon by the phone number indicated on the electronic chip.

6. COMPETITION TIMING

6.1. An electronic chip is used for timing during the marathon, which is issued in the start package at the pre-start registration and is returned to the organizers at the finish.
6.2. The timekeeping of the participant will include the total time of passing the distance.
6.3. The protocol of the marathon results will be available on the resource https://reg.o-time.ru immediately after the finish of the participants.

7. SAFETY BOATS

Motor boats can participate in the Petrovskiy Marathon as a part of Marathon Safety crew. Owners of motor boats who want to participate in the Petrovskiy Marathon must register on the website of the Petrovsky Marathon http://petrovskiymarathon.ru/
Captains of boats who have successfully worked at the marathon as a part of Marathon Safety crew are awarded medals of the Petrovskiy Marathon.
Commemorative medals are also awarded to volunteers, photographers, doctors and certified rescuers who worked on the Safety boats.

8. AWARDING OF WINNERS AND PRIZE-WINNERS

8.1. All marathon participants who complete the entire race in target time will receive Marathon medals at the finish. Electronic Diplomas are awarded for prizes in all classes. Special prizes can be set additionally by sponsors and other organizations

9. PAYMENT OF ENTRY FEES AND TERMS OF FINANCING

9.1. The financial support of the marathon is carried out at the expense of the funds raised by the Organizing Committee (entry fees of participants), as well as other participating organizations.
9.2. Pre-registration and payment of entry fees for marathon participation is held on the https://reg.o-time.ru by 23: 59 on June 3, 2021. Registration of the participant is valid only after payment of the entry fee.
9.3. Paid entry fees are non-refundable.
9.4. In case of postponement of the marathon due to force majeure (pandemics, etc.) The Organizing Committee decides on the appointment of a new date for the marathon without additional payment. Participants who have paid the entry fee are subsequently allowed to participate in the postponed competitions without additional payment. If the athlete decides not to take part in the postponed competitions, the entry fee is not refunded.
9.5. The amount of the entry fee for participation in the competition is the same for all distances:
from March 12 to April 15 - 1300 rubles per person
from April 16 to May 16 - 1500 rubles per person
from May 17 - 2500 rubles per person
at the Sart day – 3500 rubles per person
9.6. After passing the electronic registration procedure, athletes need to make sure that their data is available in the list of registered participants on the resource https://reg.o-time.ru Registration data is posted on the website after the funds are credited to the account of the marathon organizers. If the data is not available within one day after the payment of the entry fee, you must send an email confirming the payment to the address mail@o-time.ru

Q: Are life jackets mandatory for all classes? And if I have SUP lish?
Yes, life jackets are mandatory for all classes of participants, including SUPs with the presence of lish.
Q: How will the results be recorded?
The results will be recorded using electronic chips that will be issued at registration with the participants' numbers. Electronic chips are handed over after the finish to the organizers (in exchange for a medal))
Q: How many food points will there be?
Two intermediate Food points (30 km and 60 km) and one at the finish line. Food points are organized for participants, but anyone from the support group or the audience will be able to purchase a food coupon for 500 rubles.
Q: Are there any mandatory Check Points?
There are no mandatory Check Points, all points including food points, creative and competitive points, participants pass at will.
Q: Will the delivery of boats to the start from the city be organized?
